    Laser Vision Institute (LVI), a division of Vision Group Holdings, is a longstanding leader in LASIK technology.  Our exceptionally experienced surgeons, with the help of North America’s largest network of affiliated optometrists, aim to safely take away the limitations and inconvenience of glasses and contact lenses.  Our experienced independent LASIK eye surgeons have conducted over 1,000,000 procedures nationwide.

     

    Reporting to the Center Manager, the Patient Counselor is ultimately responsible for improving the patient experience in the Center by developing trust and answering questions pertaining to LASIK procedures.  You will work with patients, educating them on the different procedures, promotions, etc.; articulating key selling points and creating excitement.  You will be responsible for partnering with the on-site clinical staff to ensure that patients are properly prepared for their LASIK procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Primary patient liaison to greet patients, assist with completion of paperwork; create, update, and maintain accurate patient files, update database system; confirm and reschedule appointments ensuring all appropriate parties are informed.
    • Communicate with patients surgical pricing and packages, answering questions and guiding patients to have a positive experience.
    • Provide pre-operative care to patients on surgery days and post-operative care to patients during surgery and post-operative appointments.
    • Work with patient on surgery scheduling and post-op scheduling, financial and informed consent documentation.
    • Handle timely follow-up to prospective, current, and past patients. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College is highly preferred with 2 or more years of experience working with people and sales profitability for a health or retail center; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 5 or more years of experience in a customer service focused environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage a customer/patient centric environment.
    • Demonstrated success selling a service or program in a consultative sales environment.
    • Must be patient service focused with the ability to deliver high customer satisfaction.
    • Prior consultative sales experience preferred, with proven sales track record.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills required, with the ability to develop relationships with patients to provide a positive experience.
    • Proficient with standard office equipment; able to multi-task comfortably; ability to work with a high degree of professionalism.
    • Experience answering phones and multi-tasking.
    • Exemplary organizational skills; willingness to be cross-trained and fill in for other staff members.
    • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, dynamic retail service environment.
    • Flexibility to adapt to and implement change.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Performance based sales experience in a retail service, commission environment strongly preferred.
